Travel Soccer

Many people wonder...what is travel soccer?   What kind of committment is travel soccer?  How is it different from Recreation Soccer? How much does it cost?  Will my child be good enough to play?   I hope to answer a few of these questions...

Travel soccer is played in the fall and spring just like recreation soccer.   It is different than recreation soccer in that players travel to different cities in Indiana to play competitively against other teams.  Each travel season has 4 away games and 4 home games.  Some teams do elect to play in tournaments after the season is over.  These are usually 2 day tournaments on Saturday and Sunday.  Most games are played within an hour of Seymour, so travel time isn't that extensive.  

The cost for Travel soccer is a little more than Recreation soccer.  The registration is between $50-$95 for most age groups, and the high school travel teams being around $250.   Each child buys their own uniform which is usually $50 on top of the registration fee.

We have a tryout each Fall after the season ends.  Here in Seymour, being a little club we have the luxury of never cutting any child that wants to play.  

Travel soccer is a bit more competitive than recreation soccer, but still a lot of fun!!!  We encourage each Parent to look at our travel soccer program and decide if its right for your child!   I hope this information helps!
